Celebrating Education: a night of recognition and much needed support

On December 1, 2022, The Schroeder Foundation hosted an event at the Regent Event Centre in Winnipeg to celebrate the work of the Foundation and announce new donations to the University of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba, Red River College and Inner-City Youth Alive. Each was given a cash gift of $100,000 to be used toward their most pressing needs.

The celebration featured performances by Terra Bruce Productions and comedy by Newfoundland and Labrador comedian Matt Wright. Guests included representatives from all institutions receiving donations, as well as students from schools that benefit from Foundation support including Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, École Secondaire Sisler High School and St. John’s High School. Friends of the Foundation, stakeholders, Winnipeg School Division representatives and other Winnipeg leaders were also among the hundreds in attendance.
