Through multi-million dollar investments in hospitals and healthcare organizations, The Schroeder Foundation supports research, innovation, and specialized care initiatives across Canada.
Major commitments include $25 million to the Schroeder Arthritis Institute at UHN and $22 million to the Schroeder BRAIN&HEART Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital, helping advance treatment, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen access to care.


Key Initiatives
The Foundation’s healthcare partnerships support some of Canada’s leading medical institutions and programs focused on research, recovery, and integrated care. Key initiatives include:
- Schroeder Arthritis Institute: $25 million over ten years supporting arthritis research, treatment, and patient care.
- Schroeder BRAIN&HEART Centre: $22 million supporting integrated neurological and cardiac care at St. Michael’s Hospital.
- Navigator Program: Supporting patients experiencing homelessness with access to housing and long-term healthcare support.
- BARLO MS Centre: Supporting leading-edge multiple sclerosis research, education, and patient care.
