Schroeder Foundation Gifts 60 Industry Standard Tablets to Sisler Students

In collaboration with Wacom Canada, the Schroeder Foundation was pleased to donate 60 Cintiq tablets to the students of Sisler High School’s CREATE program – a free, post-graduation program that offers one year of additional learning in animation, film, graphic design, and game development.

These brand new, industry standard drawing tablets will enable students to grow their craft outside the classroom, create more easily, and dream bigger.

We are also pleased to report these students will be travelling later this year to Los Angeles and Montreal to pitch their projects to leading animation studios, with support from the Schroeder Foundation. We wish them luck!

Walter and Maria Schroeder also received the “Outstanding Philanthropist Award” this week at the Association of Fundraising Professionals 2023 Manitoba Philanthropy Awards for their many years of charitable initiatives, including programs like CREATE.

Whether it be in animation, game design, television, or movie productions, we know these talented students are on to great things – and they deserve equipment that can keep up.
